Stories of Hope
We the Children is an all-volunteer organization that works to help families meet the basic needs of food and health so that each child can grow up healthy and happy. We assist families in desperate need of food, medicine, vitamins, supplies, and hope. We the Children partners with several not-for-profit agencies located in Venezuela, the United States, and around the world that serve children in poverty, including partnering with the Virgen del Perpetuo Socorro Foundation to feed children experiencing hunger; with the Virgen de Belen School to provide food, clothing, and supplies to children in need and at risk of dropping out of school for socio-economic reasons; and with Casa Don Bosco to feed children who live in critical poverty and who have been abandoned.
Through our partnerships and direct service activities, We the Children assists over 2,900 children in need.
Virgen del Perpetuo Socorro Foundation
Virgen del Perpetuo Socorro Foundation in Turmero, Venezuela feeds 1,000 people daily, 350 of whom are boys and girls up to 16 years of age with nutritional deficiencies. The need is great for all these people and children. Our greatest hope is for them to be able to survive to this adversity. Approximately 1,000 people and 350 children are in line every morning at 6:00 A.M. in the hope of having something to eat to give them strength and to keep them going in their daily lives. The food is served at lunchtime, but most of the time the volunteers have to serve a little breakfast for the ones that are weaker and cannot wait until noon.

Virgen de Belen School
We the Children sends food, vitamins, clothing, and supplies to The Virgen de Belen School in Venezuela. The school feeds 145 children between the ages of 5 and 16 years of age in desperate need of food and at risk of dropping out of school for socio-economic reasons.
The director of the school, Aniuska Perez, works with We the Children volunteer Ana Karina to receive donations of food, clothing, and supplies.

Casa Don Bosco
Casa Don Bosco has five centers in Venezuela (in Caracas and Valencia) serving a total of 200 children. These children are in critical poverty and abandoned. Father Humberto Gonzalez devotes his life to serving these vulnerable children.
